Lion Hunting

Pete is considered to be fortunate in his hunting endeavors, as he has access to the finest area in Africa for wild and free-ranging lions. It is noteworthy that only lions above the age of seven are targeted, and pride lions are never taken. Although adherence to proper hunting ethics cannot guarantee a trophy, he has never failed on a lion hunt in this region.

Lion Trophy Fees

Each 20-day lion hunt includes a trophy buffalo along with up to three non-trophy buffaloes for bait, and a majority of plains game species, all of which are available at the applicable trophy fee cost. The majority of the lions taken are captured over bait, although many are also stalked. In dry years when grass is scarce, lions can also be tracked.

It is worth noting that exporting these lions to the United States is not a problem.

An old male without a very large mane or an injured male, possibly with a large mane, is considered a non-trophy lion.
